Edward Doyle - Director of Golf

Edward has been with Westmanstown Golf Club since 2009, having spent 15 years at Luttrellstown Castle Golf & Country Club next door.

It was during the latter years at Luttrellstown that Edward discovered his true passions in this line of work, Golf Course Design and People Management. Edward was formally trained by Training & Recruitment Company, Invisio, to prepare for his new role as Director of Golf Services, incorporating specific training in Financial Management, Human Resources, Time Management, Social Skills and Team Management. Along with this, Edward had the opportunity to be involved in the redesign of a complete golf facility, lifting it to a 5 Star Level.

Truly enveloped in “The Westmanstown Way”, Edward has worked closely with the greenkeeping & administration teams to develop a culture with values steeped in this family orientated golf club. Edward is proud of the way in which both Westmanstown Golf Club and he have moulded one another into more well-rounded individuals.

Bernard Fitzgerald, The Westmanstown Head Golf Professional, alongside John Carrie, Shop assistant, works closely with Edward to make sure the day to day membership and visitor experience at the golf club is consistent and of a high quality.

Head Of Administration & Events, Rhonda Treacher, has afforded Edward the opportunity to use his experience gained elsewhere, to enhance the communication and administration methods at Westmanstown. Along with the strong team of managers around him, and the clear direction from The Golf Club Committee, Edward continues to strive to enhance the members, their guests, and visitors experience at Westmanstown Golf Club.
