Who are we:
Westmanstown Golf Club – a wonderful parkland course & members’ golf club, that is a vibrant and welcoming club in West Dublin, boasting a membership of over 950 golfers. Operating under the One Club Model, the club has been recognised by Golf Ireland with the Gold Charter standard.
How we got here:
Originally founded in 1988 for the members of An Garda Síochána, following the purchase of the lands in Westmanstown by the Dublin Metropolitan Garda Recreation Club.
A club always evolving, and in 2016, the civilian membership received full participation in the club’s governance.
The ‘Kestrel’ is our emblem, and these wonderful birds are evident around the grounds of the club.
The Course:
Originally designed by the respected Irish golf course architect Eddie Hackett, it follows the ‘Hackett’ design of a parkland course with many interesting and challenging holes.
Over the years, further enhancements have been made with some holes being comprehensively developed and redesigned.
Not a club to stand still, WGC, have in 2025 taken on further course redevelopment with a total new design on the 12th, 13th and 15th.

Course Management:
Our course and course management are in the very capable hands of Michael Mc Feely, [Irish Rep on the Federation of European Golf Greenkeepers (F.E.G.G.A) President of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Ireland from 2015 to 2019.] and his excellent staff.
It is a great honour to serve as the representatives of Westmanstown Golf Club and its members in 2026. As we begin this new year, our goal is to continue building on the excellent achievements of 2025 President Martin and Captains Ed and Mary. We congratulate them on last year’s success.
The club thrives because of teamwork. We deeply appreciate our staff, trustees, committees, team managers, players, and volunteers for their outstanding dedication. The passion and commitment of our members make Westmanstown a wonderful place for both golf and social gatherings. We would also like to thank our sponsors for their ongoing support, which is vital to the continued success of the club.
As we prepare for the upcoming club and inter-club competitions, we extend our best wishes to all of our teams. We look forward to acknowledging new achievements and pennants resulting from outstanding golf both at Westmanstown and other venues.
We wish our members a healthy and enjoyable year of golf. We also hope visitors will enjoy the facilities of which we are so proud. We look forward to spending memorable times together, both on the course and at social events throughout 2026.
